We are a truly unique hotel in Wunstorf, just outside Hanover. Originally, the hotel served as a sample exhibition for a local natural stone dealer. In the 21 rooms and public areas, you will find a variety of high-quality, sometimes rare, stones and tiles. No two rooms in our hotel are alike. Each is individually furnished in a clear design. You, too, will feel right at home. Whether you are looking for a short break or for work with us. Business customers, tourists, hikers and bikers, as well as all other guests, are always welcome.
The hotel is located on a quiet side street just 300 meters from Wunstorf train station.

My name is Dennis Wiegand – I took over the Hotel cantera by Wiegand in 2014 and, together with my team, breathed new life into it.
I am a hotelier with heart and soul. I took over my first hotel during my apprenticeship. Today, in addition to cantera by Wiegand, I manage Design Hotel Wiegand in Hanover. Being a perfect host is my passion. In doing so, I pay attention not only to the different needs of our guests but also to sustainability. We avoid unnecessary plastic packaging and purchase regional products where appropriate. In our Restaurant meat&eat is cooked with local, high-quality ingredients. Our specialty is burgers and steaks, as well as seasonal cuisine. Vegetarians, vegans, and allergy sufferers will also find a wide selection of dishes (including burgers).
